It's kinda ironic how materialism and the superficiality that we cry over seem so insignificant when we're about to die.
Instead of watching those shows like 300 and etc where people go to war and kill each other for peanuts, I think sob stories actually make you think and mature (that is, if you're not watching for some celeb that you're nuts over).
Some of the classic movies I love to watch:
Koizora, Sky of Love.
One Litre of Tears (drama version is much better)
Tada kimi wo Aishiteru
I Give My First Love to You
Surprisingly all those movies are mostly japanese, with the exception of My Sister's Keeper. But those of you who want books that make you think along similar lines, My top reads would be:
Lucas by Kevin Brooks
Candy also by Kevin Brooks
Of course, My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.
Maybe all these reads and shows are the reason I want to work as a giver, a helper, someone who helps frontline because there's just not enough love going around the world.
