Overdue post about my Taiwan trip with besties4lyfe1992. Something I really needed after all this A'Level humbug and not seeing April for a year!
Went with the family to there on the 21st before joining April and Yitong on the 28th. Bunked in at April's in 永春 from then all the way to 5th Jan. Good company, food and cool weather, what else need I say?
Swimming at W Hotel in their heated pool before checkout, and Tong's virgin first wearing a bikini :D
Shilin night market!
Sho pweeeeeeeeeety
Incredible buffet at Cafe de Pariss with Kelly too.
Shopping at 五份埔(?)
And finally, 西门丁!
Food there was only acceptable, nothing fantastic, would recommend for concept only.
Going to 猫空 without the crowd. Weather was slightly rainy and foggy.
Hello taitai
Coolest parents ever, 阿姨 and 叔叔! So sweet and loving <3
Went to the top mainly to drink chinese tea, chill, enjoy the view and act like taitais hahaha
Club Luxy with April's Texas friends and Minyang!
Taipei 101 2012 countdown which I didn't go cuz I picked a stupid time to do my hair grrr
Scenery at 淡水 without April cuz she was down with flu. Wasn't feeling too good myself, meh
Iron eggs ^^
Fried milk curds, awesomest thing EVER
Epic story of our failed birthday celebration. Funny how everytime we get together (mostly at April's), things always go wrong. Look at pretty cake above waiting for us to indulge in 3 of our missed birthday celebrations tgt.
Took a leap of faith (and lack of instruction reading) and invested in sparkler candles! They were supposed to sparkle nicely once lighted.
Took a lot of time just trying to light the candles cuz we were all too chicken to light them, scared of sparks.
If you look closely, you can see the mess of wax these candles created on our beautiful chocolate cake )':
Happy faces but no sparkles ):
Messy melted waxxxx
Guess what, we tried to BLOW the candles out, resulting in the mess of unanticipated ASH grrrrrrr
Ruined cake with candles in the waterrr. Read the instructions only after this mega phail, apparently the candles were supposed to be 10cm apart.................
On the train to 九份! With the guys behind us studiously looking away hahaha
Patrolling officer who conceded to take pictures with me ^^
Notice the "可能是" at the top of the sign hahaha
九份 was pretty fab! It's a small town on a hill. Spent half a day there just eating and touring the place. There were a lot of Japanese influence in the buildings in that small town. Lotsa jap tourists as well! Apparently it was the scenic spot used as background inspiration for one of the Spirited Away movies!
Last day spent at the palace museum before ktv at 西门丁.
Our epic LOL faces HAHAHA
Our tattoos from the museum stamps, stepppp gangsta
SAY (Sherri, April, Yitong) @ Taiwan was awesome this year, hope I get to see my bbs tgt soon <3 xo
