Please excuse the horrible quality of my 2 Megapixel phone cuz my cam died on me. :'C

First day of cny as usual, spent in a house that would hold 100 plus of my relatives.
Declan at Borak Borak having our Screaming Orgasm hahaha.
This was my salvation when I fell extremely sick after the first 4 days of cny. Had this and 2 slices of bread per day.

Then on the 15th evening (Chap Gor Meh) 十五夜, bugged Declan to bring me to the Esplanade in penang to experience the throwing of oranges. Traditionally, only females would go by the riverside/lakeside/seaside to throw oranges and the interested males would be there picking their respective oranges. It was a method for ladies to choose/meet their prospective spouses.
However, this time everyone could buy the mandarin oranges there for RM1 and write whatever with a permanent marker then toss them into the sea. There were performances by the Baba Nyonyas and popular local foodstalls like Penang Laksa, Hokkien Mee and Char Koay Teow.
Had a taste of 初九 which was the night to 拜天公. It was an experience that I wish I could share it with everyone. Down the whole street of houses, you could see people preparing huge altars for food offerings at the gates. Roast pig, fruits, candies and the works. The praying and festivities start at 12am, which was when huge-ass fireworks lighted up the sky non-stop till about 3am.
It was such a sight you would never EVER get to see in Singapore. That is how Chinese New Year should be spent by everyone! Never felt so happy and proud to be part of this meaningful celebration ever.

Clubbing nights with cousins and friends.
Clubs/pubs/karoke bars opened by my cousin-in-law at Bukit Mertajam, Aqua Terrace and 30 Thirst.
